LAUREN GEANACOPULOS
President of NM Cares
Hello NM Community, My name is Lauren Geanacopulos and I have been a resident of Townsend since 1980 when I got married. I am the president of a local non-profit north Middlesex Community NM Cares .  I am so excited to announce that NM Cares has opened a drop-in center located at 241 Main St in Townsend. My vision is to help all members of the community that suffer with addiction and those in recovery.  This has been my dream and passion since losing my son in 2015 to an overdose to heroin and Xanax. We miss him every day of my life.

Lola has been dedicated to helping others since the loss of her son, Mike, in 2008. She volunteers her time to NM Cares and hopes to make an impact in the community by reducing the stigma of drugs and alcohol.
KAITY HARRIS
Community Based Counselor/Recovery Coach
Hi, I’m Kaity. I am a Community Based Counselor and Recovery Coach. I spend my time dedicated to helping anyone impacted by drugs and alcohol. I have had years of struggle myself with demons and unfortunately lost my father in 2014 to the drug epidemic. I am focused on helping our community out in many ways.
